Please read these Terms of Service ("Terms") carefully before using the Enso app (the "App") developed by Pradep Kumar Chinnasaamy ("I", "me", or "my"). By downloading, installing, or using the App, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the App.

1. Description of the App

Enso is a screen time management app for iOS that helps you block or limit app usage on your device. The App uses Apple's Screen Time API (FamilyControls, DeviceActivity, and ManagedSettings frameworks) to enable app blocking, scheduling, time limits, and usage insights. All blocking rules and user data are stored locally on your device.

2. Eligibility

The App is available to all users. No account or registration is required. The App uses the individual authorization scope and is designed for personal use only — it does not provide parental controls or family management features.

3. Subscriptions

Free and Premium Features: The App offers both free and premium features. Premium features include Strict Mode with PIN protection, recovery phrase unlock, and enhanced AI insights. Some features are available only with an active premium subscription.

Billing: Premium subscriptions are billed through Apple's App Store via RevenueCat. By purchasing a subscription, you agree to Apple's payment terms. All billing inquiries should be directed to Apple.

Auto-Renewal: Subscriptions automatically renew unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the end of the current billing period. You can manage and cancel your subscription in your Apple ID account settings.

Expiration: When a subscription expires or is cancelled, premium features will become unavailable. Free features and your existing data (blocking rules, schedules) will remain accessible.

Refunds: Refund requests are handled by Apple in accordance with their refund policies. I do not process refunds directly.

4. Acceptable Use

You agree to use the App only for its intended purpose of managing your own screen time. You agree not to:

Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the App
Use the App for any unlawful purpose
Attempt to interfere with or disrupt the App's functionality
Redistribute, sublicense, or resell the App
Attempt to bypass Strict Mode protections through any means other than the provided unlock methods

5. Apple Screen Time API

The App relies on Apple's Screen Time API to function. You acknowledge that:

You must grant the App Screen Time permissions (Family Controls authorization) for it to function properly
Apple may change or restrict Screen Time API capabilities, which may affect App functionality
The App's ability to block apps depends on Apple's frameworks and may not work in all scenarios
I am not responsible for any limitations imposed by Apple's Screen Time API
Notification permissions are optional but recommended for the best experience

6. On-Device AI Features

On supported devices (iOS 26+), Enso uses Apple Intelligence (Foundation Models) to generate usage insights. These AI features are processed entirely on your device. Availability depends on your device hardware and iOS version. I make no guarantees about the accuracy or availability of AI-generated insights.

7. Strict Mode

The App offers a Strict Mode feature that makes it harder to disable app blocks. When Strict Mode is enabled, you must complete a designated unlock method (cooldown timer, math challenge, PIN, or recovery phrase) to remove blocks. You acknowledge that:

Enabling Strict Mode is voluntary and at your own discretion
If you forget your PIN or recovery phrase, you may need to delete and reinstall the App to regain access, which will reset all blocking rules
I am not responsible for any inconvenience caused by Strict Mode restrictions

8. Disclaimer of Warranties

The App is provided on an "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE" basis without warranties of any kind, either express or implied, including but not limited to merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, I shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to loss of data, loss of profits, inability to block or limit apps as expected, or any damages resulting from the use or inability to use the App. My total liability for any claim arising from the use of the App shall not exceed the amount you paid for the App or subscription in the twelve (12) months preceding the claim.

10. Intellectual Property

The App, including its design, code, features, and content, is owned by Pradep Kumar Chinnasaamy and is protected by intellectual property laws. You are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the App for personal, non-commercial purposes in accordance with these Terms.

11. Privacy

Your privacy is important. Please review the Privacy Policy to understand how information is handled when you use the App.

12. Changes to the App

I reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue the App (or any part of it) at any time, with or without notice. I shall not be liable for any modification, suspension, or discontinuation of the App.

13. Changes to These Terms

These Terms may be updated from time to time. Continued use of the App after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the updated Terms.

14. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of India, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.
